So looking at the list, they had quite a number of non-Star Trek items. Keeping the eye on the prize, there are a few Star Trek Bluray season sets for around 50$/ea.

Star Trek: The Next Generation
49.49 Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 2 [Blu-ray] ("ships in 1-3 months" but can still order, needs the smid to point it to the right seller)

49.49 Star Trek: The Next Generation - Season 3 [Blu-ray]

40.49 Star Trek: Season 3 [Blu-ray]

And just for Mr. Spock (though not sure it's a deal):
18.99 Star Trek: The Next Generation - Unification [Blu-ray] (Bilingual) Leonard Nimoy RIP :(
http://www.amazon.ca/Star-Trek-Generati ... 00EOBM4OG/

Comments:
- Sorry, no TNG season 1 or 7 on sale (was actually looking for 7)
- There are some listed in the main link which are duplicates/imports which are not real deals.
- TNG S1-7 set for 345 is the UK import, cheaper to order direct from Amazon.co.uk since the UK one is not region locked.

The TOS Blu-Ray sets are well worth it. They've done an amazing job tidying up the originals, even without the redone effects.

The best deal for S7 tng is bb us right now. $57.99 USD - so like $73 CAD? Not $49 but cheaper than anything up here.

Not really. They know people are going to be looking to watch some Star Trek with his passing. They are really doing people a favour by lowering the price right now.

Buy buy buy the TNGs, so there's a better chance for my favourite DS9 to be remastered to BD. :)

Actually, this was already on sale earlier in the week before his death...

Either way, being able to reach more people would be more like a tribute, if anything.

If you don't mind the slight mismatch. My boxes are already weird... I have NA English/French slip cover, NA English with slip cover, NA without slipcover, and UK English. *sigh*

Otherwise, if you want the whole TNG set from amazon.co.uk:

Considering how much extra work had to go into it, not really. They had to redo all the shots and SFX from the 35mm. It really is a remaster in the truest sense.

Now, Enterprise, OTOH, is a completely different story and should *never* have been more than 30$ per season since it was the first and only Star Trek series to be shot in widescreen, digital and had all the SFX done through modern means.

I don't care how much they spend on "restoring" from the original source, its still just another crappy TV show. I wouldn't pay more than $20 a season, if that. This, of course, INMO.

That's why you aren't the target audience. Star Trek TV shows in the 80s/90s where mastered on videotape. To upgrade them to HD they have to go back to all the original film reels, cleanup/restore the footage, split it back together like they were editing it from scratch and remix the film. They have to go through hours and hours of film just to find the segments used for the original TV edit.

If they only charge 20 dollars a box set they wouldn't make enough money to do it. I'd rather they make the effort and charge a little more, than not bother at all.

$50 is my price point for the sets so this seems pretty good.

I know, and if you're not hardcore, just wait for the inevitable "complete series bluray" at costco.
