Not a fan either but majority of the girls in our board game group likes it, the guys not so much. Still, its a easy to play and jump into.

It's a great family game for all 8+. We love playing multiple matches in the same sitting. If you're looking for a game for everyone you can do so much worse than this.

I would also say that Sushi Go Party, the expanded version of the core game, has even more options and variety.

It's a great game to play before meatier board games if you're having a board game night. Just play Sushi No to make it more challenging (the person with the least amount of points wins).
