I'm mainly looking for an impact driver to work on cars. Does anyone know if the CLPK237 is worth the price difference vs the CLPK234?

Just a heads up quite a few people have complained about the newest brushless impact wrench from bosch isn't powerful enough to remove lugs. I don't remember the exact model number, but it was the newest version that accepted 1/4 hex shanks.

You can actually do a lot of other automotive things with less torque, but as for lugs that depends.

If it takes 1/4" hex shanks, it's an impact driver, not an impact wrench. While they _can_ (sometimes) take off lug nuts, that's really not their intended purpose. Most of the major manufacturers make cordless impact wrenches, but they're generally a square socket drive...

I find for lugs a regular old ratchet with a piece of pipe slipped over the end works perfectly. I change my wheels twice a year I see no reason to get a tool JUST for that.

Why is this one so expensive (reg $330+)...

There's this one for cheaper @ $89 (reg $120):

Anyone know the difference?

You will destroy your ratchets doing that. (Maybe even knock out a few teeth!)
Buy one of these when they go on sale for <$20

Just get a breaker bar from CdnTire or Princess Auto when they go on sale - often. All you need to do is 'crack' the lug back a bit, then any impact gun will remove them speedy quick. I 'crack' all 20 lugs at once before even jacking the car.

He means use a pipe to increase the leverage of a short handle 1/2 ratchet instead of using a breaker bar.

Breaker
The one from crappy tire is lifetime warranty.
I find it easier with ratchets because breaker bar gives me strange angle sometimes.

The DDS (expensive) model is much more powerful. It also feels more solid; the DDB feels cheap by comparison - I went it to Canadian Tire to compare them once and it was obvious to me to buy the DDS. This price on the DDS181 is a very good deal -- so good that I just ordered another one as it's really handy to have two drills around so you can have a drill bit in one and a driver bit in the other.

DDS is more sturdy provides 600 lbs torque, DDB only provides 350 lbs...looks like a nicer case...
