Maybe because the non-knock off items are overpriced?... Not everything cheap is bad, likewise not everything expensive is good...

I have the MEC band ones and while it's not the same product I must say the MEC dry bags are amazing. I store my sleeping bag and pillow in them for work. I throw them in my truck, in the room at camp, in the garage. No smell makes it in. Awesome product. Again reviewing a different product then the OP posted..

The difference between wanting and needing is how you justify it.

Thanks OP! Deal is NOT dead, I just used code DZPW3IEM for the 10L bag and it was $12 shipped.

EDIT: Also, thanks to the reviews from the RFD posters, helped me pull the trigger as I am also going to use it for travel.
How is it $12 shipped? Because you have prime?

I've purchased something very similar to this off eBay; use them to organize my gym bag / keep shower stuff dry and separate from sweaty gym clothes, instead of Safeway bags. Works great.

I've gone through maybe 6 over the last 2 years; I am very rough with them; they take a beating and still deliver.

Most recent listing I've ordered through is this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/391827167988 (but there are lots of sellers)

What OP posted looks like much quality though.

This looks very good especially because:
-easily foldable
-waterproof
-price point

Thanks for posting OP!

I am pretty sure they will be fine. I have never been a brand name person and the quality of these lesser known brands isn't as bad as people think. I haven't tried this particular one, but with the excellent amazon return policy, if you don't like it, just return it.
