FYI, there is a ton of recent bad amazon reviews for the WD drive, a lot less for the Seagate one. Several suggesting some recent change in the WD drive...

those bad review isn't even related to WD 8TB

edit: I see that the review is for all the size category options sold on that OP link

So,is this good drive for desktop? I am looking for one because last week two of my hard drive was dead and all my data gone. I am looking for reliable one.

Even good drives won't last forever and can suffer from early catastrophe. If you value your data, BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP. I have a total of 3 backups. 2 onsite and 1 offsite.
