I would go for it but the thing is I have all hit plugs in my car and I'm not really up to wiring my car nor do I want to deal with dead batteries. Any quick hacks or changes I can do for this?
Thanks!
You mean hot plugs right? As in the 12V sockets are always on even with ignition off? My car is like that too. I can't be bothered to require the 12 socket, so i just deal with plugging it/out when i get in/out of the car.

This camera is tempting to me and i checked the reviews and they seem pretty good. But I've never used this site. What would you recommend for the shipping method? (Their free shipping is unregister thus no tracking information)

I've bought many things from gear best. Make sure you use GCR or ebates for more off.
I always do the free shipping, but it does take a while. If anything is damaged during shipping they are very good for refunding or sending out new stuff. A couple times stuff has taken very long, so they send out another shipment and eventually I received both.

Be advised - this web cam doesn't function below -20C. The battery indicator keeps saying it's dead and goes in a reboot loop. The only way out of it is to have your car warm up. I just leave it unplugged when I park outside in cold weather. I'm in Edmonton and the past few days have been brrr.

Any idea if this one is okay with our canadian winters?
I've been looking into dash cams lately and found it is generally recommended to use dash cams with a capacitor for very cold/hot climates. That being said, since this doesn't have a parking mode you could simply remove the dash cam from your car after every use.

It's a great dash cam if the parking mode/climate issue doesn't bother you.

shouldn't matter, just follow this link and it would be golden. Its the same one i followed and i was able to change the language. The file to download is on the description of the video on youtube itself.

I dont think there is a dashcam that can function properly at that temperature but as you said just warm up your vehicle and plug in after, it starts by itself anyway as soon as you plug it in under the ideal working temperature.

I was gonna buy this but notice 2 things. 1st thing is it shows $35.99 for me, and 2nd - reading the reviews it says only Chinese voice commands :(

Mine was lucky to survive -25. I parked in park'n'fly for a week. When I got in my vehicle and started the engine, my radio screen was faded out but dashcam was still functioning. I was surprised.

But, to be honest, the video quality is only acceptable. You get what you pay for, That's it.

WiFi is really interesting feature. I can grab clips and share on social network in 3 minutes.
