[Amazon Canada] Zojirushi CV-DCC50XT VE Hybrid Water Boiler, 5-Liter $231.99

Might be the lowest price thus far for this. It's hard to tell with camel×3 down.

ZOJI Zojirushi America Corporation CV-DCC50XT VE Hybrid Water Boiler and Warmer, 5-Liter, Stainless Dark Brown

In case if anyone is wondering, the interior is non-stick. Also, you cannot dispense water from it if it's not plugged in. And yes, it's made in Japan.

For reference, I bought a "Zojirushi CV-DSC40 VE Hybrid Water Boiler and Warmer, 4.0L " back in November 2014 for $160 off Amazon.ca (Black Friday sale). It's literally been on since then, I use it every day (great for Aeropress coffee!), and I've had zero issues.

Bought this last BF for under $200. It's still a great deal at $230 as it's usually $300+. This is the pinnacle of water boilers in the market, and the last one you'll ever buy. It's hard to justify the price tag, but for everyday tea drinkers, it's very convenient. We always keep it on for tea on-demand (black, red, green, white, raw) at the optimal temperature. Vacuum mode works well but don't expect it to keep its temperature for over 8h like the zojirushi mugs.

The 5L model is also quite tall so it may be a problem if you you don't have enough vertical space for steam to escape.

It was cheaper only for 8 hours on Apr. 26th for $224.32. So, one can say that realistically now it's the lowest price.

I had Japan 4L version and bought in 2013 then last year it started peel off at a few places and rust on the top edges. I didn’t clean with citric regularly in the last two years.
I bought this 5L in last year for $6 more, but didn’t start using yet.
How is this boiler compare to instant hot water dispenser from insinkerator hooks to kitchen sink water supply?

I prefer stainless steel interior but they don’t make any.

I think that that's what the non stick coating is for. I have no problems with mine so far, but I do filter my water so the build up is slow. I also clean it every 3-4 months with citric acid while using its cleaning mode.

Why would you need non-stick coating? Does that prevent the mineral deposits from sticking?
I have a no-name one with a stainless pot that I bought from T&T a few years back for under $100.
