[Amazon Canada] Zojirushi NS-TSC10 5.5 cups Rice cooker 145.99$

Been looking for a Zojirushi rice cooker for a while, was waiting for a price drop on a few models... Here is one.

Price has only ever been cheaper twice at 140$ so this is probably as good (low) as it gets now.

Be warned this is a Made in China (not Japan) model. I'm holding off for Black Friday deals to see if any Made in Japan models drop in price but if your looking for this particular model, this is a very good price. The made in Japan models are obviously much pricier ( unless you opt for the older models that look really outdated but work flawlessly like the NS-ZCC10)

Edit : ok Amazon says 30% off but price is generally 229 to 249 and not 209. This is more like 40ish % off MSRP

Had a 3 cup zoji for years. Recently it started losing its timing, rice wouldn't be cooked correctly. Guess it just came to the end of its life.

Keep us posted on your findings

Made in China not Japan. That's why it's cheaper.

Purchased. We’ll see how it compares to my cheap $30 cooker. Been watching this on Camel and got a notification this morning.

Lurked these rice cooker threads for years not believing the hype about fancy rice cookers and finally decided to take the plunge a couple of years ago...
Felt like kicking myself for missing out on so many years of perfect rice.
Have a five cup zojirushi and I will never part with it!

Not to thread crap, I suggest do not buy this one. If you spend over $100 for rice cooker, start with THIS ONE.
If you want to step up one level, buy THIS ONE.
The best one is THIS ONE.

These are just suggestion. These rice cooker are the best one that we can buy in Canada.

Just curious, what would be the difference between your entry level suggestion - ZZC10 - and this TSC10?

Instant pot cook rice same as regular rice cooker. Cooked in 10 mins. Zojirushi took two hours to cook the rice because machine let the rice soak before start cooking. The result is different both the look and taste.

It's also fuzzy logic, marketing gimmick from the 80s, it just means it has a microcontroller, what doesn't nowadays? My $3 Arduino counts as fuzzy logic. I can have an advanced PID controller on it lol

I have the NBHBC-10, 5 years running average of once every two weeks. It is perfect. Dog eats homemade meat stew with rice. I make rice every 4 days, it stays warm and in a nice edible state for myself, him, and the missus.
