Pretty niche, don't know how many people still run custom watercooling like me. Wish I could take advantage of this. Waterblock alone would add over $150-200 to any normal 2080ti.

I'm so happy I got my 9900k and 2080 (None TI) for the 1800 bucks lol... Damn prices are insane. I think for now on the only way I'm upgrading PC parts down the road is via price errors or hoping AMD starts smashing Intel... (I need per thread performance where 9900k is still leading but by a margin so will see what happens in 3-4 years.

Watercooling is just a waste. Too many points of failure.
Huh. Never had an issue with any of my loops.

Anecdote.

Air cooling fails safely on modern boards, many failure modes in water cooling do not.

These GPUs run extremely hot.

Air cooling in 2019 is amazingly good, and when it fails, most cards and boards go to a low power mode or shutoff completely to save the circuitry. However, there's no firmware or driver that will protect against a water leak shorting the card or board... just a series of fallible hardware mitigations.
