Thanks OP, ordered 3 units. Don't know why the hate for Fire TV Stick (i have 2 in use). They are getting long in the tooth as the GUI is getting sluggish. I mainly use these for Netflix and Plex and have worked well. Don't have 4k TV yet but i'll be ready for it.

They usually charge $5US per package. For those who aren't near the border, they could use My mailbox (https://www.mymallbox.com), which will forward your package to your Canadian address. They are in Delaware which means no sales taxes.
Would mymailbox.com forward a small packet as gift under $CAN 60 to avoid duties and taxes? Thanks.

If it is marked as a GIFT, then it's $CAN 60.

It has gone down briefly, but is usually back up within a matter of minutes. Sometimes it could be a channel or two that goes down. Basically I subscribe to a backup mostly for the 30+ channels of porn that Vaders doesn’t have. LoL

Put it this way. I had been a cable subscriber with Cogeco here in Kingston for over 30 years and it’s been good enough where I just dropped them completely.
Does the IPTV service have a guide? I tried one once that had a guide much like regular satellite tv etc. And have tried others through Kodi that show what channel you are linking to and you click it, but no indication of what is on right then.

Also, is their content in HD? Some I have seen say HD, but pixelated, and sluggish streams.

Just checked, all the American retailers have it for the same price, heading south of the border next week, so may pick one up, saves me ordering from Amazon and paying the parcel pickup fee.

No issues at all, HD all channels, 5 devices, tv guide all intact, fully recommended.

Anyone use a Micro USB OTG adapter with an ethernet hub on this? They mention the Amazon one, but wondering if the generic ones that I use with my Mibox would work with this, for ethernet and 3 additional USB ports.

Working on Apple TV. Android is just easier.

I tried installing it on the Apple TV, it’s not working for me. What steps did you use?

There’s a great guide with video of current channel playing, and 13 lines of channels underneath in which you can scroll left (to play something from earlier in the day) and right (to see what’s coming up). It’s all HD and loads quick. This is better than satellite. I tried uploading a demo video but it won’t let me.

Through various deals/promos I currently have Netflix, CraveTV, Amazon Prime, NHL Gamecenter, and DAZN. Not sure I will keep Crave in the end, but I think I paid under $60 for this year to try it.

I have zero interest in watching live tv with commercials or waiting a week for a new episodes, but if they have the ability to PVR sports broadcasts, then I would be interested. Is the PVR handled app/server side or would I have to setup a hard drive to record myself?

Also if they provide access to Netflix/Prime/Crave originals.
It’s all server side. No additional hardware needed other than a device to install the app on. It would replace Gamecenter and DAZN for sure.

How does Kodi run on this? My pi struggled to stream 1080p mkv videos over my Lan (I have a high end router and computer, so the only bottleneck is the pi) and wondering if this 4k stick will be better?

Not sure if anyone answered yet but no. I bought stick while in USA and prime video didn't work. I called and was told repeatedly it will work once Im bavk in Canada since I have and pay for Canadian membership.
Once in Canada it still doesn't work. When I called they said its because its an american version and it wont work with canadian catalog. I told them I would have returned it while in USA for 4 weeks if I wasnt liet in m face. I bought it specifically so I can access prime and netflix from same HDMI port.

They just said to ship it back to USA bestbuy.

Lately I noticed most of my consumer complaints and unsatisfaction is related to Amazon (9-1) even though shopping at amazon is around 25-33 of my shopping.

Not true. Our prime video accts are subbed to a canadian content through amazon canada prime only. Even if you can access us video store you are not member in order to enjoy it. I was inthe usa and stick still didnt play.
