Amazon echo

Hi guys,

I got my brother an Amazon echo for Christmas, I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for something in terms of home automation that I can get him as an accessory to it that isn't too pricey?

I would have liked to get him one of those Phillips bulbs but I can't really spend an extra $60

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated

Wemo or TP-Link smart plugs are $20 to $25 these days in stores like Best Buy.

We purchased a tp link smart plug with energy monitor just last week and got a Google home last night.

Pros
Plug does not require hub, I can turn it on and off from Google home or the app

Simple to install ( took about 2min)

Cons

Size, it is big, I can't use the plug below it, so I had to put a power bar on it to allow more devices

Paid $20 on Amazon, I'll probably get more since my wife has a bunch of scentsy and lamps on the main floor, and I'm lazy and hate having to run around and turn them all off :)

Winky
