[Amazon] Amazon: Lenovo Yoga 13 Slot-in Case $20 (Reg $40, free shipping over $25)

Amazon.ca has the Lenovo Yoga 13 official case for $20 (eligible for free shipping on orders over $25).
Its around $40 everywhere else ($35 on Lenovo EPP).

The only catch is its in backorder, ETA is May 15-31, so if you don't mind waiting this would be your cheapest option (even Lenovo has it on backorder).

Have you done the RAM/SSD updates yet ?

haha not yet - a bit scared* of opening the lappy up...and I need it to be in intact condition before an exam coming up next week.

after that...time to upgrade!!! (I think?)

Have you done so already? Is it simple/hard to do so? 8GB RAM should be enough already I think...but the SSD upgrade seems to be a must...unless I opt to just carry around small external hard drive around....

You already have 8GB on yours ? ok thats the max you can go.
oh SSD upgrade is a must for any real usage, I got mine from ME me-crucial-m4-256gb-msata-ssd-185-reg-210-pmed-1329860/
The yoga13 has an additional pci-e slot so you can actually add 256GB along with 128GB. Easiest way to add the 256GB as secondary storage so your original 128GB remains intact (for recovery to work). I did it the hard way, took some tinkering around but eventually managed to get "one key recovery" to run from the 256GB SSD partitioned in the way I liked and moved the 128GB for Ubuntu.

would you recommend buying it with the 256gb and then upgrade with another 256gb?

Absolutely recommended. Use the 256GB for windows and the current 128 for data (or a small Linux installation).
