Can I still use this if my prime trial has ended? Also it has an ad for prime day saying they'll have more deals than black friday... marketing ploy or... REAL DEALS?!

Can I sign up to amazon.com prime with a Canadian school?

Is there a list of eligible schools? Would a high school email work?

Hrmm... I tried signing up with my UWaterloo email address, no dice. It seems to be looking for .edu? This is on amazon.ca, not .com

.ca accepted @my.bcit.ca
.com requires .EDU (will not accept @my.bcit.ca)

Yeah, I was on .CA. I contacted a chat rep, they told me my email address isn't in their system. So I'd need to send them proof of enrolment some other way. I guess it's because it's an alumni email address? But it's still blah@uwaterloo.ca though - I guess Waterloo sent a list of all their active student email addresses to Amazon? That seems like a lot of work.

@uwaterloo.ca is not in their system because it's not American (I am assuming), it's not that your specific uwaterloo address is not in their system. I believe it requires .edu to be valid. I guess American schools all use .edu, whereas Canadian ones don't.

Right, but I'm on Amazon.ca, not amazon.com.

Well, as suggested by mathiewannabe (I knew you would have to be a Waterloo person with a username like that), creating a new account seems to have worked. So, something about my existing account seems to be screwing with the system. Something about my account must be pointing at the US.
