Trailer:
Just did a search and it looks like this show hasn't really been mentioned around here yet.
I just watched the first episode and think it shows a lot of promise. Colm Meaney is very good in it, and the speech he gives at the end of the first episode will give you goosebumps. The main actor (Anson Mount) is also very good, playing the classic conflicted cowboy out to right things in his own way.

Hmm. From the reviews it looks like this series will move as slow as molasses. Like Mad Men slow. So I won't be watching, at least for now.
Will wait till end of first season to hear if the pacing exceeds my expectations.

This show was filmed up in my neck of the woods so I hope it does well and gets renewed for a second season. Apparently the production of it injected 22 million into the local economy. Beyond that I watched the first episode and I would give it a 7/10. I like the characters but it moved a bit slow. Pilots are generally like that though and I'm pretty sure it will get better in future episodes. Big shoes to fill if it plans to compete with Deadwood which was one of the best shows ever made.

Been watching from the beginning, not a great show but better than most of the crap on TV these days. My friend who moved to Calgary about 8 years ago was actually an extra in the first season.

Not sure why everyone is saying this show is slow or not great. This is beating the hell out of True Blood as far as good goes these past 2 seasons. Imo, of course.

S2 E1 was very disappointing. Show's going nowhere if this is going to be the pace for the whole season. Terrible editing and soundwork as well. So much unintelligible dialog I had to turn on closed captioning, but that didn't help as even the captioners apparently couldn't make out a lot of the lines.

I really enjoy this show and the pace hasn't bothered me at all.
Let's see what they can do with this season._______________

I really like HOW. It looks fantastic, the vast choreographed battles are amusing, there's some great dialogue in it.. alot of the plot points don't make sense, but there's just enough interesting stuff to keep me hooked.

The show is looking better and better as the actors grow into their roles. I am also surprised with where the plot is going. A lot of conflict and action the last few episodes, and looks like even more is coming.
