You can often get direct flights with Air China for $700 on these routes.

Never fly North American when you can fly Asian if you know what I mean Face With Stuck-out Tongue And Tightly-closed Eyes.

In economy plus, you are still sitting in economy class but your seat will have (marginally) more leg room. The other passengers are also not allowed to put their carryons onto your overhead storage, but overhead storage space is rarely an issue for long-haul flights where the planes are larger and people tend to check-in their luggage.

If you are over 6ft tall, I would definitely recommend getting as much leg room as you can, especially if you are flying a 16+ hr flight to Asia.
