has anyone else that ordered during that day of madness get a confirmation email? i did, but my free item (disregard that it's free..) has been back-ordered.. so when there are some in stock, would they mail me that seperately then (cause my purchased item says that it was shipped out today)? i've never had that happen to be before.

20% off in-store coupon! Expires Dec. 9; useful for those without the AE All Access Pass:

I had an item that was backordered as well. So I phoned in customer service (1-888-232-4535) and asked them when it would be backordered until. The CS rep checked the status for me, and told me that they don't even have the item I wanted in stock anymore.
What happens is that they would probably cancel that item from my order and refund the money for that item. Now if it's something that was part of a BOGO 50% promotion, or that it was something you were using a promo/discount with, the CS rep offered that I could pick another item that is of equal or lesser price to replace that item. It would be seen as a separate order, but as my original order already had free shipping, this new order would also have free shipping. The discounts/promo that I had on my original item would also be applied. Duty and tax would apply too. In other words, if you picked out something that is of the exact same price, then you technically don't get the refund, but don't get charged extra as well.
And because of all the technical difficulties they had on the website, it's best to check the status of your AE orders by phoning in CS.

You can't exchange things purchased at AE or AE.com without a receipt. Details as to how to exchange items purchased on AE.com is written in this link:
AE Canadian Return Policy (by mail)
AE Canadian Return Policy (in-store returns/exchanges for online purchases)
Also, if you return any of your items bought over AE.com, you will be refunded the price of the item and the sales tax, but not the duty. Duty is a sunk cost.

Also, make sure the size is not something AE.com ONLY (IE: Large Tall, XXL etc)
YMMV of course. Most part should be fine for exchanges, just no returns.
You can probably even get a store-credit if you try returning without the receipt?! =o

Well I don't know about you, but each time I went to exchange stuff at an AE store for an in-store purchase, they ask for the receipt. They scan in the item that you are returning and would scan out the item you're exchanging for....they also do the same for your AE All-Access Pass too. Redundant I know, but that's what they are doing. Not doing the rescanning of the AE All-Access Pass I would understand, but I wouldn't think they would exchange something without a receipt. It may not be in their policy, but that's what all the store associates have been doing...*shrugs*

Almost all AE coupons are never stackable. The fine print always says "Only one coupon or discount of any type may be used."
AcidBomber, being the AE Specialist here, you should know, lol.
You can also get the same coupon through the mail along with a coupon card of $10 of purchases $50 and over.

Yeah....the rare occasion was the free shipping + 25% off (which was stackable). Too bad I couldn't stack it with my All Access Pass additional 40% off. It's only stackable if both say it's stackable.
But what was awesome was that the 40% stacked with the BOGO 50% off tops....I ended up with 40% off all tops, and the lower priced tops had an extra 30% stacked onto them, bringing it to 70% off.

Right now on the AE website, there's Aerie underwear 8 for $25, but I went to the Yorkdale location, and it's 4 for $20. Any idea if they're going to grant the 8 for $25 deal or is that just for the U.S.?

I was at Eaton's Centre today and both Aerie and AE had them 5 for $20 plus 20% off, makes it $18 tax in for 5 pairs...
