does anyone have experience w/ charges related to mobile alerts?
a friend of mine says she gets charged for receving msgs (Rogers). i use Fido though so im not so sure.

Errr... Pretty sure they're just regular text messages - Rogers & Fido have free incoming text, but that will soon change next month when they start charging for incoming text for people without a text plan...

i took the print out to eaton center AE store and the manager refused to honor the email printout coupon.
he said there is no bar code on the printout and that i need to click on the "sign up" link on the email in order to get the coupon.
i showed him my confirmation message on my cell showing that i signed up for Mobile Alerts, but he still refused.
what a hassel. first time in ages i went to an AE store and got embarassed. Im never shopping there again!

That's pretty bs when you showed them your cell...

I just tried it out and it shows the same thing. Weird...
If you want - try again in the morning, or write down the item number + size and place an order over the phone to get the discount applied. (operates 24 hours @ 1-888-232-4535)
If they ask - mention you got it in your e-mail.

It means what it says, if you add -any- aerie item the code will apply correctly.

as well, can i just use the same parcel packaging they sent the item in for me (and tear off the original address labels) if i do ship it back to them and get a refund?

Yes - you may exchange or return it in stores and it has worked for many.
Dont tell them you bought it online, they'll give you an AE gift card if you want to return it. (Since you dont have an in-store receipt and they dont process online orders.)

You can do that if you want. Make sure you seal it up properly.

AE ALL ACCESS PASS: Overview

*What is it? - a AE / Aerie Rewards program for purchasing items at AE & Aerie stores and online.

*Is it FREE? - YES, it is FREE! Anyone can sign up either in stores or online HERE

*How does it work? - There are 4 reward periods in a year (4 quarters: Jan-Mar/Apr-June/July-Sept/Oct-Dec), purchase enough products within any of the reward periods to receive a discount coupon (valid for 1 month in stores or online for any ONE purchase <$500.) mailed to you at the end of the reward period.

HOW TO COLLECT POINTS:
