Hi Folks,

Instead of the regular 30K Cobalt points, you can earn upto 40K Cobalt Points. You can earn 70K points if you capitalize on the 5x categories for the monthly bonus.

You should be able to find the RSVP code in the first couple of pages in this thread. If you can't or are too lazy to be bothered, send me a pm and I'll share the code with you.

Note: You will only get the additional 10K after a minimum spend of 3K in the first 3 months.

Can you explain how that would work? Maybe my brain is slow today but I can't get the math to work out. Thanks!

2.5k MRS per month for $500 spending requirement. If you do x5 on groceries it is $500x5 = 2500, + 2500 from the spending requirement = 5000. 5000 x 12 = 60k. This perkopolis offer give you an additional 10k so it is 60+10 = 70k

Beware this offer have a $3000 in first 3 months spending requirement for the additional 10k points.. so in theory you should be earning at 77.5k points assuming you spend $1000/month for the first 3 months and have 5x bonus on all $3000 (get a paypower card and reload it at grocery stores).

Basically, you can earn upto 5,000 per month on the 5x category:
2500 bonus for spending $500 monthly
+
2500 for spending in the 5x categories.

5K * 12 months will get you 60K. Perkopolis offer gets you another 10K. That's how you earn the 70K in your first year :)

Ah that sucks. The fine print clearly states that existing members won't get the welcome bonus. But as you probably already know, YMMV with these things.

Hey, I have hard a lot of mixed reviews for powerpay. How has your experience been with it? Would be awesome if you can share how you go about using the card?

All the fees associated with the card just doesn't make sense to me.

6.95 * 12 = $83
4.95 * 12 = $59
Activation Fee = $10

Perhaps, I am missing something?

If anyone has a Member ID their willing to share, please PM me, thanks!
I used to work for company that used to be with Perkopolis, left a few years ago though. I was able to use my account for a few years but it looks like they finally deactivated my Perkopolis account, sucks.

You can buy (and reload) $500 Paypower cards at some grocery stores, which means you earn $25 ($500 x 5%) each time you buy one. Then you use the Paypower card at places where you would only usually get 1% if you used the Cobalt directly.

might be obvious for some - the membership reward you earn with Cobalt isnt the same the the MR you earn with amex platinum/gold etc. It is NOT transferrable to Aeroplan or other programs. Beware.

Regardless, 40K in MR is = $400 if you redeem for travel. Very good.
