Have we confirmed that ALL personal platinum (not Aeroplan, the regular personal platinum $699 card) are eligible? Is everyone eligible for $200 off $200 or is this targeted?

Hi all. Hope this helps and confirms the Amex credit. Wife bought $200 worth of cream and Mac Makeup on Dec 26 and received my bonus statement credit this morning Dec 28. Bought from Toronto Duty Free by Nuance close to gate B24.

We flew out of T3 international flying out to Mexico. Used my Amex Platinum Charge.

Goddamned idiots. I just cancelled my Platium Amex yesterday, and if I had gotten this offer sent to me, it probably would have been enough for me to stay (as it would take my "real" annual fee from $499 to $299).

There is nothing worth buying at "duty free shops", they are nothing more than tourist traps.
This is the great ideological divide of our times: not between left and right but between those of us who believe in truth; and those who believe, Oprah style, that we’re all entitled to our own truths and that everyone’s is equally special.

When you get 100% off a $200 purchase, there is probably something worth buying...

Besides that, liquor is often much cheaper than you can find normally.

Does anyone know if this deal would apply to new applicants? I would imagine it would since it's not a targeted offer, but would appreciate confirmation.

This is an amazing deal! My wife is quite happy. I called by Plat to confirm since I opted out of all promos and they confirmed. I usually avoid duty free as prices are never cheap, but with $200 you can buy a lot of stuff or at least 1 good item!

This is legit.

I made the purchase on December 31, 2017 at YYZ Terminal 3 and the "Bonus Credit" of 200 dollars were applied on January 2nd, 2018.

I was a very new cardholder (The card was approved on December 10, 2017) and never received the offer or notification email, however I was able to get this deal since it is generic.

Yours must be business platinum. 200 off 200 only applies to personal platinum card.
