This is interesting, I was just trying to figure out where to switch to after they killed off Accelerator Plus, hmm. Any funny conditions, or just that? Any idea about side benefits like rental insurance, etc?
Also, when you say "carry a balance", any idea if there's a minimum balance you can carry, or can you just pay off 99% of your bill and carry $10?
[EDIT] and how did you find out about this card?

anyone else try this?
I'd be interested in changing my air miles amex to this, but I find it a little fishy that there's no info anywhere...

Should you have spendings of $5000 each month?
It's not so easy.

i asked for the no annual fee one and there is only the costco card one.
not sure what you asked for but i asked and asked and the same numbers you mention are for the gold card with $75 annual fee.
COLD DEAL!!!!!
unless you can specify what to ask for and how to get no annual fee!!!

I tried this once with my VISA - I mean paying off not the whole 100%. Got to pay interest for the whole amount next time, as the condition for not paying the interest is to pay balance in full. (It's usually not that simple to outsmart a financial institution
)

No, this has better rate than Costco Amex which I also have.
This is what I scanned in 2005 (used in another thread here) when I got the invitation and applied for the card.

They also told me that there is a $75 annual fee, but when after they checked, they found out there is no annual fee. When I applied for it, I was told clearly that there is no annual fee.
