[American Express] Amex Business Platinum .....50,000 bonus points!

More offers from American Express
UPDATE: Guess only so many apps were good for it :) .

Got a coded invite in the office mail the other day. Amex is offering 50,000 points after $5000 of spending in first 3 months.

I will scan the letter later for you, but for now you can use the RSVP code: 0091036670

It asks for the postal code of where the letter was sent, but you can input anything (I tested it).

is there a fee?
Yes. $399 a year. There's no waiver offered with it, but you earn 1.25 points on every dollar spent.

Isn't that a one-time use code specific to the recipient?

$399 a year/ I'm not a big fan of Amex (especially trying to redeem for travel). Last time I had the Amex and tried to redeem for travel, if you are redeeming for someone other than the card holder they Amex travel agency charges a $50 surcharge - for what?

On that note, you can always convert it to a GC and then that would offset the $399 annual fee, especially if you can write the annual fee off (business expense).

I think the other Amex deal is better, the gold business card one...for got the bonus points but they waive the first year fee..

The code works for whomever applies. Did you try clicking the link and entering the code? Regardless of what postal code you use, it brings you to the special app page.

Great deal! I wonder if I can get a another card with this promo as a supplementary card!?

The $50 booking fee if only if you use their travel agents... you can use any agent you want, then call amex and have them apply the credit to the charge.

I didn't try using it but it sure looks like it was a single use code as I suggested!

rofl

About what? If you are referring to my reply, why don't you try the code? You'll find it can't be used because it has already been used once. So this deal IS expired and I should be doing the facepalm.
