Are you sure it's not your NFC antenna being picky? do you know where on your phone is it? do you let your phone ~1s on the terminal before removing it? Can you scan credit cards with an application like https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... emvnfccard?
I'm sure it's the TD app and not my NFC. I used Android Pay with a CIBC visa and it works everytime. Honestly, over the last few years since I installed the TD app, it worked like a few times only even I have already went through 2 different phones. I gave up on TD and may cancel my TD visa all together.

TD pay app like their other interfaces is completely dated, designed by someone in their 60s back in 1997. Its complete garbage, and TD+RBC's persistence not to support AP showcases their attitude towards their customers. Canadians don't complain about anything, not even on social media when its considerably easy to do so. They might have 6 people tell them on Twitter that this is not acceptable, why do they care? If this was Europe/US they would 60,000 people bickering at them and then they would do something about it.
Not to get OT but even on major social issues like housing, education, taxes I rarely see a movement in Canada so this is very little compared to that.

I found that the only reliable way to have TD app to pick up payment is to set it as the default app under Tap & Pay. Even with the foreground priority option on and TD app open, it doesn't work reliably if it's not the default app.

Anyone noticed that the Capital One app now appears to support HCE and shows up under Tap & Pay?

It's been there for a while for me but there's no actual pay settings in the app.

They have it in the USA so it is probably just turned off for Canadians.

Kinda wished Google would just deprecate that third party payments thing and make everyone use Android GPay, so we don't have to put up with this crap. Apple's walled garden approach seem to work better in this case.

How has the acceptance rate for Scotia Gold Amex on AP been for people who have tried/used it?
Mine gets declined about 3 out of every 4 times, switch to the physical card with PIN and no problem.
I had similar problem. I don't use that card very often so I decided to re-add it to Android Pay.

I recalled that there was a CT master card Android Pay promotion about paying 5 transaction and get $10 CT money. Did someone already get the $10 CT money? Or where can I find that promotion details?
Thanks
First time I hear about this promo.

I had that promo a few weeks ago, it could be targeted and at least for me, it expired already (it only lasted around a week).

Yes, I found it in my email box. I had to call them to get the $10 CT money.

Did re-adding it help?
I wonder if using the Scotia app is any better

Is there an amount limit when you use Android (now Google) Pay since it uses the contactless?
Usually, the max amount is between 50-200$.
The merchant sets the maximum but usually it's

MC/Visa: 100
Amex: 200

Costco is higher for MC (200 I believe)
