Another war in Lebanon coming?

As if there wasn't already enough strife in that part of the world...

First, the Saudis ordered all of their citizens out of that country: NYTimes

Now, Saudis and Hezbollah each claim the other has declared war on them: G&M

The U.S. official position on the situation:
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson warned other countries and groups against using Lebanon as vehicle for a larger proxy fight in the Middle East, saying Washington strongly backed Lebanon's independence and respected Hariri as a strong partner of the United States...
Will that stop Saudi from firing rockets at Lebanon? Who knows.

Is this directly relevant to Canada? Yes, there are lots of dual-citizens of Canada and Lebanon currently living in Canada; expect them to to request aid from the Feds if war should suddenly break out there.

Israel is ecstatic at the moment. They'll finally get a chance to destroy what's left of Lebanon.

The Saudis don't act alone. They're being controlled by the Americans and Israelis, because both of them would like to see Hizbullah getting destroyed at the expense of Lebanese civilians.

Once again, the US starts another war, and they'll justify it somehow.

yup the conflicts are just restarting, i think in time it would engulf all those middleeastern countries, soon all of em would be like syria.
all the wealth and status won't save em once usa gets involved in it. But those rich arabs think nothing will happen to em.
The classic divide and rule is going to eat them all away.
Unless ofcourse those islands sink in water before that due to rising water levels or something.
those expats working there better save up and move their money to paradise falls or some utopia

I have read that it is indeed the whole Middle East in strife and war could start.

Also, apparently, this is being supported by Twix head Jared Kushner and Donald Trump has endorsed the actions of the current Crown Prince:

This is one minefield they don't want to step in. That country holds together on a razor thin edge.

That's what I heard, which is why Saudi's latest moves supported by Kushner/Trump are so dangerous.
