Any good data plans?

Hey guys, I've been away for some time so I'm not up do date with the phone plan market.
My cousin is currently with Rogers and paying $70/m for 2gb LTE data plan. Did a quick check and found Koodo/Fido/Virgin offering 2gb data plans for $55 and 3gb plans for $65.
Are there any better plans that I can get now or when the school starts?

Better plans than that are region-specific, or require giving up something (3G data speeds, zone restrictions, strictly BYOD, strictly 2 yr agreement for a phone you don't want, etc.).
Motorola phone. Linux on 2xcomputers. Brew beer & wine @home.
Home service reseller internet + FPL + antenna with streaming on smart TV
Wireless 1 line w/ Virgin on QC plan, few lines w/ Koodo to get phones, couple FreedomPop SIM's for roaming

Yeah I found out about loophole to get QC 6gb plan. Will try that in a few days.
