I'd love some suggestions for a good BD deal on a basic laptop...really for web browsing and e-mail and possibly DVD watching. Maybe some basic photo editing using Nikon NX2 too. No gaming, nothing really intensive. I'm currently still running Windows XP Pro on a Dell M65 Intel Core 2 Duo...

dyaum, for that case you can get cheap laptops from best buy and such, but try the companies websites they sell a bit cheaper and probably has better warranty not sure on that but give it a shot. Try lenovo they always have sales going on, and they make quality products.

im not sure about those but you can change the price list thingy on the websites for example setting the maximum price $300 and select the best possible match for you. This feature is included in almost every website maybe go to the brandnames website like dell.ca and look from there

cheers

meh, i was expecting more.

i need a laptop, and havnt seen anything that jumped out at me as a deal yet.

might be a good thing though, because when i go to buy one boxing day at 7pm they will all still be in stock.

only hope is that canada computers will have something decent or maybe tiger direct.

I noticed the Lenovo's on sale at BB, but how can you tell what generation the processors are?? There is no mention if the i5-3120M is a 3rd generation or 4th. I doubt they would be selling 2nd gen processors...

There's lots of choices if you want a low-DPI 15.6" model. Enjoy your visible pixelation. :(

they all seem to have the same 1366 x 768 pixel resolution.

i dont care really, no gaming, no movie watching, stictly business and forum browsing with occasional social media and youtube/worldstar.

someone suggest me which is my best option.... also open to other options 15" only.

the first number of the four after the i5 is the generation so 3xxx means 3rd gen

there is no $250 savings for that 15" dell..... maybe more like a $100 savings.

unless they retail a 4th gen i7 with touch screen and a 3rd gen i7 with no touch screen both @ $799 ?

WHERE ARE THE REAL LAPTOP DEALS???

people lined up all night in the freezing cold weather thinking they getting a great deal, then trying to resell on kijiji for a profit, to then realize it wasnt a great deal and now fighting with dozens of others trying to break even, to then get lowballed by me and take a loss.....
