Any lease deals around for entry-level cars?

Hey,

Looking to grab an entry-level car (think Civic, Corolla, Cruze, Jetta, etc.) for a family member. As long as it's got a backup cam and heated front seats, and is automatic, I think it'd suffice. A lease from 24-48 months with 20,000 km annually would be nice.

Even with my preferred pricing, lease cash bonuses, and loyalty discount, the 2018 Cruze LT sedan for 36 months is $340 tax-in (4 years: $271/month) with $0 down, which in my opinion is pretty expensive for that car.

Anyone have any ideas for some sales going on around here? Thanks.

See the Golf-GTI thread
There's no way a base automatic GTI goes for under $425 tax-in per month. Nor a regular Golf for under $350.

Maybe I should add in the OP that we need 20,000km a year. :)

My mother can't drive 6MT though.

Yeah, the GTI pricing is very close to a Civic or Golf comfortline, but I was kind of hoping for under $250/month tax-in.

Add about 30$ more a month for a DSG

250$ Nissan Sentra is doable or Elantra when the rebates pop
I negociated one for 199$/month Tax in last year for a friend of Mine. GL automatic 1400$ down 36 months

I mean I can get the Cruze LT for $340/month for 36 month lease, and $271/month for 48 month lease, which is still kind of high for me. So the GTI is out of the question.

As a reference, I leased a Cruze LT in 2015 for 24 months for $186/month tax-in with $0 down. I don't expect that kind of deal but anything under $250/month would be nice.

Yeah, I've seen the Elantra go for pretty cheap in the past. Unfortunately, no significant rebates appear at the moment. The deal you posted is about $238/month (assuming $0 down) which is pretty decent.

The Sentra is $214 a month for 24 months + $2295 down + any taxes = $350/month tax-in (assuming $0 down). Which is too pricey.

Edit: 2015, not 2005 lol

the 24 months makes it too expensive sometimes they have 60 months 0 down for 49/week

Is that the monthly going rate for an economy car leased?

I could've sworn there were a few cars in the past 3 years going for $250/month and under. Has the market really picked up that much?

Will try talking to the same Chevy salesman who I dealt with for my last lease. Maybe he can do better than the quote I had.

Mhmm. The 2019 Jetta Comfortline MT is going for $317/month plus tax for 36 months. Can probably haggle that down to $300 for 36 months for an auto or maybe $280 for 48 months.

What's wrong with it? It's more money...

I'm seeing $300/month with the LS cruze 48months/20000kms. Unless you are getting into a subcompact, looks like $300 is new standard.
