Any one have or tried one of these Quik Pod DSLR/POV ULTRA Monopod

Any have any experience with this product?

I'm thinking of getting one of these monopod for travelling. What I like about it is that I can screw on a mini tripod on the handle end, quick release adapter and can be used in salt water.

Hmm not bad. It'll be great if I can mount the whole thing on a person.

I wonder about the build quality of the unit, I currently carry around a mono pod with legs. Will be getting myself an action cam soon so this is interesting.

So I've decided to buy the Quik Pod DSLR/POV ULTRA Monopod from the quik pod site.

Here's my quickie review:

Cons:
- you cannot attach the rubber end cap flush to the pod when the risk strap is attached. You have to remove the metal ring which holds the strap to properly install the rubber end strap
- USD conversion to CND
- Shipping $20 USD

Pros:
- light weight, made of aluminum, the built is pretty good
- slim, compare to most monopods are thick
- Can screw a mini tripod

Where did you buy it from? I'm looking for a mini-ish tripod for use with a GoPro or Sony RX100.
