Anybody interested in creating a GROUP BUY for Dell Laptops?
Many of us are looking for a decent deal on a laptop for various reasons and many of us are on tight budgets.

Does anybody want to get together and buy a laptop together from dell over the phone? I've read of some amazing deals by people who have called in to order. If we get maybe 5 or more people together imagine the negotiating power we could have. We would be able to get a nice deal and the rep would be happy for the large sale.
What we need is someone with some negotiating skills and some deep pockets to charge them all on. I'm thinking Downtown Toronto (since it's the centre of the universe and its close to me
) so we could just meet up and do the exchange and pay him a little extra for the hard work, then transfer the warrenties and it will all be good.
I am willing to do it on my credit card but we would be restricted to like 3 people before i hit my max limit. The more the better. Plus negotiating isn't one of my strong points. Anybody a real hard ass that can't take no for an answer? WE NEED YOU!
Maybe we should wait for the next good Dell laptop deal, then give them a call.
PS. I know some of you are probably thinking "typical laptop scam" but multiplied by 5, however, that's not what I'm thinking. I'm thinking for you guys to help me help you, which would help all of us.
Maybe something along the lines of:
Dell 6400
PROCESSOR Intel® Core™ 2 Duo processor T7200 (4MB Cache/2.00GHz/667MHz FSB) or better
OPERATING SYSTEM Genuine Windows® XP Whatever
LCD DISPLAY 15.4 inch UltraSharp™ Wide Screen WXGA+ Display with TrueLife™
MEMORY 1GB Shared Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 2 Dimm or better
HARD DRIVE 120GB SATA Hard Drive 5400rpm or bigger
OPTICAL DRIVE 8X CD/DVD Burner (DVD+/-RW) with double-layer DVD+R
GRAPHICS CARD 256MB ATI MOBILITY™ RADEON® X1400 HyperMemory™
BATTERY OPTIONS 85 WHr 9-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery
WIRELESS NETWORK CARD Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 Internal Wireless
x 5???

I'm not interested, but I would vouch for you - you're obviously a hardcore, long-timer RFD'er so anyone going in with you would be safe.
Good luck!

Man this is too much hassle, to be honest you can get a deal like what you are searching for on ebay, maybe even better
, just buy BNIB and buy from a reputable seller!
