I'm not sure about how the actual place is but looking at the location it will be very convenient to get to school for you. College subway is about a 5 minute walk for you and you're pretty close to Eaton Centre, Village by the Grange and Chinatown if you want to shop or need something to eat.
There's a Loblaws or Dominions at College Park which is about a 10 minute walking distance. You're also surrounded by about 3 hospitals or so incase you ever get sick.

anybody knows about/stayed at "The Residence"?
Hello all... I'm actually travelling in Singapore right now but I just secured an internship at 100 university avenue (downtown toronto) for 1 year. Hence, beginning May, I need a place to stay close by to work. How's The Residence?
The website is at: http://www.theresidence.net/
I was wondering if its a good place to stay and if its reasonably priced. And how far it is from the closest subway station.
Unfortunately I can't go down personally because i'm a couple thousand miles away.
THANKS A MILLION!!!

It's a good price, for a downtown location. You are close to a lot of things, like shopping, food, etc. Plus, it's within walking distance to your work and the subway too. However, it's also right in the middle of the red light district of Toronto. If you dont know what that means, it means there's a lot of prostitutes in the area. But it's really not that problematic. There are a ton of kids that go to Ryerson university living in the building. Ryerson is practically right next to it. So, it'll be a good time for sure, as there are a lot of hot girls from Ryerson.

I actually worked there for a few months supervising some U of T residence students. It's not a bad place, and you do get a private room that's furnished with a sink, but it's small. Don't expect to be able to do any entertaining.
