Bought mine brand new and waited 3 months for it. I've put on just under 10k on it now. Obviously the engine is not as smooth nor quiet compared to it's gas counter-part, however it does everything so effortless when it comes to passing power. The engine is solid, however the only trouble I see down the road is the emission system on the car. Car is equipped with DPF and UREA. Some have had issues with the DPF, the UREA system seems to be ok so far.
One of the cheapest mods you can buy for this car is the JBD diesel chip. That alone will give the car 60whp / 100ft/lbs. This is my first car with a slushbox and it's a pretty solid unit. It shifts fast(for a slushbox) and likes to downshift as well. I have driven plenty of slushboxes and usually they upshift at the wrong time or won't downshift, due to the torque the tranny never really hunts for any gear. I do 90% city driving and mileage is "ok", I average around 9L/100kms. 335i will do around 11-12L/100kms.
Re-sale on these will probably soon go up due to BMW's announcement of cutting production out for the F30 335d, however there are rumors going around that they might bring over the 330d which would be awesome for mileage and still have good performance.

anyone bought a BMW 335d?
I'm considering buying a used 2009 or 2010 model and would love to get some feedback from current owners.
What do you like about the car? What are your dislikes?
Any info would be great.
