Anyone ever honked at a cop?
some scenarios that may have applied to you:
1. not turning when it is clearly safe to do so
2. for cutting you off, w/o sirens
highbeaming also counts.
if so, what happened?

Mar 2nd, 2006 12:20 PM #3Yelling Jihad is probably okay. Yelling "Hi! Jack" is not.

Mar 2nd, 2006 12:26 PM #5you can get serious jail time for even saying the word "bomb". even if you're asking the service desk about boarding area to Bombay. no jk, about that last one, but i think the first one is true.

Mar 2nd, 2006 12:29 PM #6The 'Bomb' word is well known not to say or joke about. I am not sure about saying 'Jihad' though. May be it has more effect if it is said in Isreal. Damn! Better not talk about the movie "Jar Head" there.

Yeah, I've never done it but what about giving the honk and friendly wave to the cop. I feel like doing this when I see hear the report about a speed trap on the radio, then pass by the cop doing 20km/h under the limit.
KMA copper!

Last summer I saw a 4 car accident on Kingston road, I was driving the opposite direction and saw a cop a few cars ahead. There was traffic so it was tricky to get next to him so I honked at him a few times when I was half a car length a way. When I finally managed to pull up next to him I opened my window. He honked his horn like 6 times and said " WHAT DO YOU WANT"
I told him theres a 4 car collission a block away that just happened and that his little display with his horn was extreamly unprofessional.
He closed his window and pulled a u-turn. Jackass

I was driving on the bayview extension two months back and saw a viscious car crash, I believe one woman was dead, another vehicle was in the ditch...i stopped to help and there were already a few people on the scene, they said they already called 911. I drove 2 blocks more and saw a cop car in the opposite lane, so i fast stopped in front of him to block him off and honked at him and told him about the accident.
Kind of weird that with the 911 call placed 5 min earlier, the cop was 2 blocks away and wasnt going there...this was a SERIOUS crash too...multiple critical injured.

When I was 6 years old, I waved at a cop from the back seat of my parents Ford Taurus while we were driving along.
The cop then pulled us over.
The way I was sitting and looking out the window had the cop thinking I did not have my seatbelt on (which I did). When he came up to the car and saw that my seatbelt was on, he greeted us and let us go.

I have, I was waiting to get into a parking stall and a police car started backing up towards me. I felt nervous about honking at him, but when he go too close I did. He stopped, I waved, and we both went our ways.
