Anyone got a fallout 3 performance preview for PC.
I can't find this anywhere. I kind of saw something related to notebooks but no hard numbers.
I want to see because I heard that the PC version blows the ps3 and xbox 360 versions out of the water and I am just wondering what the FPS are when they are doing this.
Does anyone have this game for pc? If so, what are the settings, fps + specs of your computer?_______________

Looking forward to your report.

Hope it will look okay on a simpler video card... an 8500GS is about the best I can squeeze into this LP box._______________

It seems to stutter a bit. Not sure if it microstutter.
Playing with ultra settings with 8xaa and 15AF at 1900*1200.
But it seems to stutter and frames could be smoother when outdoors.
Running on a 4870x2 with a e8500@ 4.2ghz._______________

I play at 1440x900 with everything on High but no AA/filtering. Framerate is really good at these settings. To be honest I can probably increase most settings a bit but Crysis and Warhead have me shook. Rig is as follows:
Vista Home Premium
Core 2 Duo e6750
2 GB RAM
xfx 8800gt (512 MB)

I've got:
Core 2 Duo T7500 (2.2ghz)
2gb RAM
8600GT (256mb)
Will this be okay to run it on high at 1280x800? For comparison, I can run Crysis on medium at 1280x800 with about 40fps and Oblivion at maximum everything with either full AA or full HDR at 1280x800 and get constant 70fps.

I just "tested" a copy online last night. It ran flawlessly on my pc at WSXGA+ (1680 x 1050).
My Rig.
Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (F3).
ATI Radeon 3850.
4gb crap (not sure frequency).
I played for about 20 mins, but there were no hickups, and it played smoother than Crysis did on the same cpu.
I don't think the concerns about speed are going to be warranted (however it may get more intense later in the game).

Most reviews agree that:
Fallout 3 is a tough nut to score because, on the one hand we think it’s utterly enthralling and breathtaking, but on the other we can see that it hasn’t been designed with the PC totally in mind and that really holds back the experience. The most noticeable is the interface, which feels very console-ish

Outdoor environment are tough on the card. I can get slow down every now and then.
I am surprised I cannot max this game out. My crysis frame rates actually feel smoother.
Aside from fraps, is there a timedemo in this game directory. I looked but couldn't find anything._______________

You think a Radeon 3650 will keep up?
