MBNA SmartCash is much better than this, 2% for groceries anywhere.
Yes but not all Walmarts have the proper merchant code to allow for purchases to be considered groceries, and therefore do not qualify for the 2% :o
Can you believe it? They sent my income tax return forms back to me! In response to question # 4, "Do you have any dependants?" I replied - "2.1 million illegal immigrants, 1.1 million crack heads, 4.4 million unemployable people, 901 thousand people in over 85 prisons, and 650 idiots in Parliament.
Apparently, this was NOT an acceptable answer.

Who the hell did I miss?

For some unexplainable reason they won't offer it in Quebec, I had to cancel mine before moving back due to this. I hadn't even had time to use it once. :(

I was given a limit of $2900, according to my Transunion report.

Ahhhh, Jewville. Desperate for credit once again, I see.

I think they like to keep their limits on the low side, to be perfectly honest. They only gave me $3000, which is pretty low compared to my other cards. My SIL is a store manager and she told me that my limit was a bit on the high side compared to a lot of others. Most people who sign up in store end up somewhere between $1000 and $2500 with very few outright denials. Rarely was one initially approved at $5k or more. She said that Walmart knows their clientele, so they don't expect them to buy big-ticket items at their stores on a regular basis. They expect them to come in, put a few hundred on the card every month, and carry a balance. They know their typical customers aren't financial geniuses.
Your 3k limit is within their top 10% range

I have one. $4500 credit limit. The cash back benefits are available on the website and there's a $50 bonus for using the card once and switching to paperless billing. Good credit card, although yes, MBNA would probably be a better card.
