i tried it.
it prints about 200+ pages of "the quick brown fox. . ."
i'm guessing it was embedded by the authors of word.
why, we can only guess.

Anyone have the Microsoft Word software? I have a question.
Got this e-mail today....But i don't have word.
What happens?
"If you have the program "Microsoft Word" on your computer, you can do this.
Not even Bill Gates can explain this one.
Try this,
Open a Word document and type the following:
=rand(200,99)
Press Enter and wait 3 seconds...
Microsoft is looking to reward anyone who can explain it."_______________
Seize the Day!

It's an easter egg.
Programmers are famous for sticking stuff like that in their projects.

I tried changing the numbers and it still works... the first number is number of paragraphs and the second is the number of times the sentence is repeated in each paragraph
