Well, I'm getting a new TV soon! Finally after 10+ years with an old 20" JVC! I'm looking at this Sony TV through this rewards site ..

It's not listed on there but I emailed them and they quoted me 43,500 points for this Sony 27" KV27HS420. We have so many points still, even after redeeming a 51" projection tv and Canon S50 and 90U cameras. I've been waiting so long for a decent 27" TV and I never knew you can email them directly and request an item.

So anyway, my question is. Does anyone have this particular model of Sony tv? Seems the stand that was made for this model (SU-27HX1) is an open concept which I don't like because all my stuff end up collecting dust.





So I was wondering if it's possible to combine with this slightly older model stand ... for example the following which were made for their older 27" models ..

So anyone know if these are "backwards compatible"? Maybe some of you with experience on Sony TV's can comment?
