Anyone here have the Infernal Affairs I DVD?
I got some questions to ask you guys. Does anybody here have problems skipping the movie? I can't seem to drag the slider in MPC or Gomplayer to skip to certain portion of the movies. Also when I select either the theatrical version or the alternative ending version, I always seem to get the exact same ending at the end if I were to jump to chapter 24. Isn't this kind of weird or what? As a result of this, I'm not quite sure which one is the theatrical ending. Did the movie originally ended with Andy Lau being arrested for being the mole or it ended with Andy Lau leading the funeral ceremony for Yan at the end?

Funeral ceremony. My DVD does weird things too... it skipped one of the scenes and I had to go back to it
This is the 2-disc HK version btw.

Yep, I have the 2-disc HK edition as well. Are you trying to watch it on the PC? If so, can you try one of the media players and see if you can use the slider to skip to certain portion of the movie? It doesn't work for me no matter which player I use. The only way I can skip to certain part of the movies is by using chapters.
The weird thing is that Infernal Affairs II and III works perfectly with the slider in all the media players that I have tested with.

yeah i couldn't skip to a specific part of the movie on my copy of Infernal Affairs I either but what i do is, scroll with that wheely cursor on my mouse to fast-forward.
btw, my copy of the dvd is autographed. i'm tempted to double-dip for the boxset edition but that's hard to find nowadays.

What is inside the boxset edition? I don't recommend double dipping simply because it'll be released in a high definition format one day. I can't wait for that to happen though.

You know of a site that sells it or have more information on the content of the DVD?
The skipping problem is enough of an issue that I would probably want to double dip on Infernal Affairs I. I definitely wouldn't double dip on II and III even if some super deluxe edition comes out.
By the way, how do you set your mouse to scroll through the movie? I can't figure it out.

You should get the real thing, but the alternate ending isn't that good anyways. Basically Andy Lau walks out of the elevator and he is arrested. Then that famous Infernal Affairs soundtrack sung by Andy Lau is played. It does seem pretty dramatic though.

The version to double dip is the chronological version. Basically they splice parts from all three movies into one long ass movie but in chronological order. Part III makes a lot more sense too.

And they manage to fit all of that on to 1 DVD or it's on 3 separate DVDs? You know of a place online that sells it? I want to check it out.

it's split on 2 dvd's.
this chronological cut is over 5 hours long. i heard it wasn't done or approved by the directors so unless u really wanna kill time, there's really no point in seeing this.

I think it is 2 discs with little or no extras. it's only about 5 hours total. I think it was limited and OOP now. But it might be on shelves somewhere still.
