Anyone running a DVD Burner on a BX Board

Is anyone running one? I have a PIII 800 mhz BH6 v 1.20 with a 300 watt power supply. I have some Sonycam digital video that I would like to burn to DVD. Does anyone know what the system requirements are for a burner? What is the maximum speed one can run a burner using my system, if at all.

Thanks

You should be okay with your current system. Just make sure you have enough RAM to run the application.

Should be okay... data won't be travelling that fast... isn't 16x the max right now?

Things to look for...

1) makes sure DMA is on...
2) if possible make drive the only drive in the IDE channel
3) if 2) not possilbe make sure drive is master at least.
...zzz...zzz...zzz...
