If i come across the console itself for cheap I'll look into this. So if I understand correctly anything under 3.61 and you can install CFW?

I believe you need to be on 3.6, so if you're below that, you'll need to update to 3.6. Anything over, and you can't hack it.

if ur on before 3.6 you have to update to 3.6 with a special dns its not hard, 3.6 is what you wanna be on. this is subject to change as hacks get better.

Don't really use mines anymore but I did finally finish Persona 4 Golden back in April/May on it. There are a couple of games I want to import (namely Gundam Breaker 3 BE and SD Gundam G Generation Genesis). I'd probably play VS Force on it too. Problem is those imported games are expensive and also available on PS4. Since I don't take the Vita outside of home anymore I see very little reason to purchase games on it that I could play a higher res/ performance on superior hardware.

YS 8 may convince me to charge it up again.

Picked up Super Meat Boy from the PAX sale a few days ago. I think this is the most I have ever played SMB. It has that 'pick up, play a few levels, and put down' aspect that fits very well on the Vita, IMO.

I haven't used my Vita for several years now. I wouldn't be surprised if the battery is dead from being discharged for too long.

Up until the Switch launched I would bring my Vita on every trans-Atlantic flight. Once I finish up Mario Odyssey, I'll probably start bringing the Vita again to play the next Ys and finish Trails of Cold Steel.

ended up selling my vita, realized im fine with a psp 3000, but still looking for one. I didnt like the stretch effect using ps1 emulation and psp games, vita's still good but I liked the psp library more.

Also watch out with those sd2vita cards, they're made really poorly and if you have an OG vita they will stick out lol... damn dodgy manufacturing.

Worst part of the Vita thing is that Sony was so close to basically having the Switch but didn't include a TV out on it. Even the PSP had a weird video out port on it. Such a missed opportunity.

Henkaku can now play games up to fw 3.65. That's almost every game currently.

I believe only Secret of Mana and now future releases will require fw beyond 3.65.

There is video out on the Vita, Sony just never released a cable or hub with the DSP required to get it working. They opted for the PSTV instead... I've had one of those things for like four years and never found a reason to unbox it.
