Anyone work at AdEfx?
Anyone ever work at AdEfx? I worked there years and years ago... The office had quite a few people then, wondering if any of the old crew is here?
In case anyone is wondering... That's one of the agencies that go around selling Spa Packages, Vehicle Maintenance Packages, Glamour Shots, etc... It's more fun than you would think.

Yup, it’s real and it’s awesome... The deals can't be beat, and they can't come back to sell you later... It's not because they want to be a$$es, it's because of the business model...
What happens is the Spa will sign up for a marketing package... They don't have to pay a thing to AdEfx, all they have to do is provide free services. AdEfx takes the $300-$400 worth of spa services and sells it to random consumers in the local area for $35-$45.
So, what AdEfx gets out of it = $45
What the Spa gets out of it = A swarm of customers coming in their door for services who they can up sell or satisfy them so they will become a regular lifelong client and tell all their friends how great they are.
The reason they can't come back or make themselves available at anytime to sell these is because it is meant to be random, if anyone could come to them and buy them it they may end up selling them to a ton of people who already know about the Spa and who already go to it... You would also have a ton of people coming to AdEfx office just simply looking to get a really good deal and these people are less likely to be people are willing to pay full price once their discounted services has been used up.
These packages are amazing; it is so amazing that a large percent of people being approached thinks it's a scam.

LoL, I don't know anyone there anymore. That was yrs ago. If you know the specific spa it was for and could confirm who you spoke with, where it was and what date it was you might be able to get them to sell you one.. You would have to call them.

I also thought it might be a scam...but I work in an office with several other offices on our floor, so while the guy was next door (after I declined) I called the Marc Anthony salon (very good salon in Yorkville/Cumberland) and they said it was legit. Well - *I* wasn't going to pass up a haircut, colour, make-up application, waxing, mani/pedi and 30 minute facial for $50, so I ran next door and immediately bought a bunch, one for me, the rest to give away as gifts!
THESE ARE AWESOME!
Used most of my services (multi visit ok) still have the mani/pedi and facial, and am so happy

I think it might be a scam.
I was curious at AdEfx and went to my trusty site...www.ripoffreport.com and there were lots of complaints about this company. Here is the link:

After what you just read, do you think it can be legit?

The business sounds legit but their practices probably come off as sketchy. IIRC that UW article talked about how some people who bought these vouchers and tried to redeem them got burned when they found out the salon never agreed to such a promotion.
