Anywhere in the GTA that repairs laptop ac adapters?

My ac adapter for my acer travelmate 2300 broke. The connection is pretty much severed from the beginning of the cord attachment to the power adapter, with the rubber enforcement broken and a little bit of wire exposed. Electrical tape won't hold it off and now even if the ac adapter is 'green', no power is supplied to the lappy.

I already bought a new adapter, but I'm wondering if there is some place that will repair the one that is broken.

If you are able to, open the power brick and attach a new cord. My Aspire's power brick is melted shut so theres no chance that I can get into it.

If your laptop is in warranty, let Acer know. I got a replacement AC adapter when mine started to make noise.
