I still think the series 1 is the best bang for your buck. It has the same processor as the S2 and all it's missing is built in GPS and waterproofness, two things most people really don't need,

GPS is great if you want to go for a run and track it with Strava or any other app, while leaving the iPhone at home. The waterproofing is good as it will let you take it swimming with you.

Series 3 with LTE is worth the extra $$ for me...finally an Apple watch that looks useful to me!

I'm trying to understand Series 3 with cellular. Does it mean that I have to get another data and voice plan from Rogers and etc?

OR, I just need a special SIM card which will use data and voice from SIM card in my Iphone?

You don't need another plan or special SIM if you have shareable plan. You would just add the watch as another device to your share plan and pay the associated fee. Rogers however will not be supporting the Apple watch series 3 at launch and they have not indicated that they will in any certain timeframe. Bell/Telus for now.

Just picked two up. One Silver and one Grey.

Don't forget EBATES.ca 2% back on Apple Refurbished https://www.ebates.ca/coupons/apple-refurbished
GAH...just bought my son an iPad last night...wish I knew about 2% cash back.

On another note...still rocking my S0 42mm Black from Launch Day...debating a Series 2 or a Series 3 with Cellular.

The Series 3 has cellular and connects (take and make calls, text, stream music) without the phone, which is a big plus if you just want to go out for a quick run and don't want to bring the phone as an example.
Yes, but I was comparing watches without cellular.

Add cellular to the 42mm Series 3, and you're up to $559.
Everyone has different needs and budgets. :)

Thanks. What's the difference between S2 and S3? I am no longer interested on the cellular ones since I am with Rogers.

Faster CPU and altimeter I think.

so the difference between the refurbished one and Series 3 is about $100 only and on Series 3 you get faster processor, GPS, and altimeter? Are these the only upgrades?
