ordered it (RFD effect). then thought some more. and cancelled the order. cpu and ram just do not cut it. i have 3rd gen. price is tempting though. will wait for 5th gen refurb. thanks.

Was just coming to post this after I ordered 2. They have been out of stock for about 1 month now when I picked up another 1 and they realized I was just thinking about myself and not christmas shopping.

Good price just a shame the display panel isn't the same as the one used in iphone 4/4s. I'm gonna wait for the refurb 5th generation ones since they use the identical panels as the iphone 5.

Whats the difference?
According to Apple they are both: 960-by-640-pixel resolution at 326 ppi
Both are retina display. The only difference is that the ipod screen isn't coated with a lim to prevent finger smudges.

Same resolution yes however the ipod touch one isn't IPS while the iphone 4/4s one is. So with the 4th gen touch you'll get poorer viewing angles, screen will look more washed out when you compare it side by side with an iphone. I know this is pretty nit picky so if none of this bothers you then this is a great deal.

Sweet! Wasn't in the market for one but might have to pick one up now because it's cheap and I have tons of music to store. November/December hasn't been kind to my wallet at all. Ugh.
