The specs destroy it but the experience doesn't imo. I have am fine with my galaxy s2x phone after having owned multiple iphones but I got the Galaxy tab 10.1 after owning many ipads last year on the TD Rewards deal and it was awful compared to the ipad, Maybe its better now but at that time the ipad experience killed android for tablets

Ditto. I use a Samsung galaxy S2... and have tried using various Android tables but I still prefer using an iPad...

For the money , or screen DPI , not sure if the iPad 2 is worth it even as a 64GB .Still great but .....retina missing .

I haven't seen refurbed retina iPads on sale... so I am getting what I can I guess

Usually the retina models sell out in under an hour, with the lower capacity ones in less than 10 minutes. You have to camp for a restock, happens on Wednesdays generally.

Last time they had it, it was $379 for 16GB, $479 for 32GB and $579 for 64GB. US Apple store has it for $549 in stock.
