[Apple] Refurbished MacBook Pro 2018 models

After debuting its MacBook Pro refresh back in July, Apple now sells refurbished models of the latter in its online store in Canada for the first time.

This is more of a discussion rather than a hot deal because it is absolutely NOT a hot deal. Apple has even further screwed the consumer on the 2018 units by removing critical components, notably relating to data recovery.

For those that actually want to see whats for sale rather than read an article about it - https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/product/F ... lay-Silver

Yet still the world's first trillion dollar company, my gosh the people of the world are idiots! RFD, these beat reporters and online bloggers figured it all out!

Come on guys, they're not made or priced for everyone, it just seems childish to attack something because it's unattainable to some. Stick to the androids and PC's then when you spend your life upgrading parts and playing 2D golf on your latest Android device.

The new and improved MacBook keyboards have the same old problems
Many users continue to report stuck keys; maybe it’s time for other companies to stop looking to Apple for design cues.

Yeah, quite a bit of complaining for the sake of complaining. Do they have a monopoly on excellent industrial design or packaging any more? Nope. Are they are still great devices for a certain subset of the population? Absolutely. Does the company seem a bit lost since Steve died? A bit.

A bit presumptuous, no?

Still got a 2011 MacBook Pro going strong! I think if I were to upgrade, I'd change to an iMac and just keep my MacBook Pro for travel usage, etc.

Hold on to it. MBPs pre-2015 are, IMO, better built machines than those of recent years.

They were truly functional, capable, versatile systems. The design and engineering were more aligned to what I consider as decent.

Spot on. I had many Windows laptops and I always felt the need to replace them after 1 year (poor build quality, battery, horrendous trackpad, keyboard, etc). Then I purchased a refurb MBP 15” 2013 and it’s been the best overall package. Although I’ll admit that Apple has been greedy with us Canadians and the exchange rate. :/

I still have a 2011 Macbook Pro and its still working fine. The battery died and caused a bunch of firmware and software glitches but after I replaced the battery TA-DA~! no issues one bit!
Have high Sierra running on it and its smooth as butter.
