My lenovo has the same specs as the 2499$ one and cost me like 1090$ (800$ Y410P + 220$ 512GB SSD + 70$ 8GB RAM 1600MHZ).
I still don't understand why people buy this...

That's USD. There was no price drop. In fact, the price went up by $50.

Because quality, apple isn't a cheap samsung or Lenovo device. Premium costs premium, down the road you know an apple device will still be working while your piece of junk will be a nice paperweight :)

I'm a life long PC user... till I got a hold of my sister's 8 yr old iMac - I think I will be converting soon. This 8yr thing runs smoother than my 3 yr old laptop. While over the 8 yrs, I've changed computers 3 times, some times with issues and had to reformat, etc... while my sister was running problem free on her iMac. She's gotten a newer iMac now, and I'm experimenting with her old one.

4 year old MBP still runs like new. Before this I had 2 HPs, 1 Toshiba, and 1 Lenovo turn into bricks in that span. Don't listen to them haterade drinkers.

Kind of surprised they're still sticking the GT750M in these, thought they would've at least upgraded to the 850M.

2 year old Macbook Pro user here - my battery swelled up and the laptop caught fire, house burned down, lost my wife and kids, but still a Mac user for life.
