Apps moved to SD card greyed out on new S9+

Got the S9+ today and see that all/most of the Apps from my S7 Edge that I moved to my SD card are greyed, and when trying to open I get "app isn't available". Outside of installing each of these individually, is there any work around? These do not show in my App drawer, and not sure if they will open direct from my External Drive?

Just because you've moved the apps to the SD card doesn't mean all the app data was moved. There's still some content that remains on internal storage. You'll have to install them from Google Play individually again.

The "move to SD card" isn't for preserving apps across devices.

ah, will I then lose any progress in games, etc? Assuming that they save if from Play ?
