US walmart online has dropped the price to $199 and apparently some stores selling for $140 so not looking too good for 1Up.

Where do you see for $140? I'm interested in the SFII machines for modding. If I don't see this go on sale for $200 during boxing week, I'm gonna get my Ameri-friend to pick one up from the US for me.

well $199 US is about $260 CDN so if you were able to get at $288 then you are not that far off.

In store $140 has been reported in parts of Texas, Cali and somewhere else. Again, in store prices vary across the US so best to check the online price checker to see how much they are in the area you're looking.

Yep, $199 is not much less then the $278 I paid but it shows these aren't selling in the US too so that spells disaster for the company.

Whats this online price checker? Is it a web tool that checks the actual price of in-store wal-mart items? If so, can you link me to it?

well $199 US is about $260 CAD so if you were able to get at $288 then you are not that far off.
I calculated about $285 CAD after Michigan sales tax (still very hot price!). So just shy of $60 in savings if it indeed does go on sale at Wal-mart for $200 CAD before taxes. Kinda tempted to bite the bullet in case it doesn't go on sale but it's a real hassle to return things through my Ameri-friend so I'm hoping this boxing day flyer gets released soon.

Ya - the $288 price point is decent but I much prefer $199 which is about $150 USD equivalent.

Hopeful we will get..

If buying in the USA and there is a problem with the unit, how would the return work? any Wal-Mart in Canada or need to go right back over the border? for that reason I'm waiting for deals over here.

who here also has a full size arcade machine ?

I am really torn between trying to fix up the old cabinet i have now or buying one or two of these cabinets.

just trying to get a feel for what people prefer to have/play on.

Well, I got a UPS notification of $105 owing for Duties this morning. Definitely going to be rejecting that and voicing my opinion.
