Before you start flaming because its from Factory Direct and by Monster, keep in mind it's brand new and also cheaper than other tilt/swivel mounts. Even from Monoprice with the wait and shipping/duties.
It also allows for cable management.

Bought this mount 2 days ago. I hate paying alot for mounts but found this one reasonablly priced. Compared to a mount I got from monoprice, the monster mount is way more solid.

Thanks OP! I will pick one up. How was installation? Is it as easy as the video you posted? What are your thoughts after installing/using it?

Picked this up with a buddy yesterday, we're going to install it at his place tomorrow for his 46". I'll update but the thing looks amazing for a mount that price.

It wasn't bad
I installed it myself actually, but would not recommend unless you've installed a few mounts on your own before.
Seems solid and I'm loving the swivel. Only thing is the short arm seems tight and hard to move. I've tried loosening the bolt but my allen keys can't handle it nor my hand.
Other than that its great.

Also, mines holding up a 46'

Thanks OP, bought two, one for my cottage and one for my home (because my home mount didn't come with instructions, couldn't figure it out and manufacturer and retailer would not help me out).

Question, does the mount tilt ? The description seems to describe it, and at this level I'd expect it, but I just don't see the mechanism in the pictures.

Also did your instructions come in Spanish ? My packaging was entirely Spanish, but I haven't cracked the boxes yet.

Final question: how many degrees can you pivot your 46" screen ? i.e., if it is mounted to a wall, can you rotate it through 45 degrees, 20 degrees, etc ?

thanks again !

At 4:30 it shows how to adjust the tension screws for the tilt feature.

This is an incredible price.. makes you wonder what the markup is at full price!

the instructions aren't the greatest, but to tilt the screen you have to lock/loosen the bolts on the side of the piece holding up the mount which the tv is attached to.
you cannot use the allen key for that.

to pivot you have to loosen the 3 screws behind the tv bracket, like the youtube video, loosen the left and right while leaving the middle screw.

goodluck!

Anyone received the order from FD yet? Can anyone confirm this is for the screens up to 55" 150lb? From reading the manufacture part code (FSM ART-"M" BR) on FD's site, this could be just a "medium (M)" mount not a "large (L)" mount.

The picture and code are most similar to this mount:

http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=5568

M does stand for medium, so max screen size is 46"/100lbs. Not sure what the EFS means vs BR, but the FD one actually has a higher inventory number (newer, maybe?). MSRP is listed at $349.95 - typical Monster overpricing.

That's odd since FD is advertising that it supports up to 150lb and 55". Oh well, I installed a 55" screen on it, and no problems.

Darn, I always imagined that these articulating mounts would just move freely without needing screws or bolts to be tightened/loosened.

I wouldn't say more than 4". I'll measure when I have a chance.

ditto.

Are all articulating mounts like this or do they exist being able to move freely?

Maybe this is the wrong mount for you then. Do you need swivel/tilt? If not this store has other mounts for cheaper that are very tight to the wall.

They have a non-tilt, non-swivel for $29 + taxes. I bought this for my 50"samsung. The mount only comes out 3/4" from the wall, then add the thickness of your TV. There are also included spacers which push it out another 3/4". I did use the spacers and the front of the TV is still only 4.5" from wall.

They also have tilt models that are fairly snug to wall for $45.

Well they look similar but it does have a different model number, so maybe the Focal Price one really does support 55"/150lbs. Does it say anything on the box or in the manual/installation guide?
