And it's surprizing fast too for basic gaming, web surfing, and MS applications. Picked up a couple for the young'ans to goof around on and my parents who need a "newer" comp but want to stay with XP. Loaded up XP Office Suite, AOI printers, etc, and this thing handled it all very cleanly and quickly. It was easier to buy this unit than to bother to clean up/ defrag their current XP system...

Yup.
This is a very good machine for its time. It's roughly halfway in AMD's processor ranks of those days (3000-4000), which beat out intel's offerings of the same time by far.
If you're just running XP and office applications, it should be more than adequate.

It IS a good 5 years old techwise, though. So don't expect it to run much of anything from today :p

Thanks OP.

I just buyed one to put in backpack and I will run it off a 12V car battery for when I going hiking so I can listened to mp3s rock and roll while I hike at so much cheaper price than iPod for great justice. And burn CDs for friends at the tent not sleep like Paul Bunyan cutting down trees all the loving time!

I drove straight to the Brampton Shoppers World location as soon as I saw this and they had two in stock.

Both were apparently "defective" (one was DOA, and the other had just a defective keyboard). They wouldn't sell either to me even though I had said I was fine with it broken.

I hate Staples.
