Last year I was really happy, as I got a 9.5% raise. My bonus this year was about 30% less though, so I do not have high hopes for another skookum raise (we don't get raises until mid-march or so). I will update then.

EDIT: Wanted to point out that the year prior there was no raises across the board.

With the economy being as bad as it has been, most companies have been giving minimal raises or just enough to cover the inflation. I have done the same for employees at our work, everyone seems fairly satisfied with it and is very understanding.

Nothing in 2010. Most of my co-workers didn't either. Tough times in the construction industry.

My employer gave me $2,400 or 3.5%. I worked a little more over time for an additional $5,000

I gave myself $7,000 by working on my business.

2010 was a good year, I am hoping 2011 will be even better!

Taking the new job last sept got me a 35% raise too. Was a great decision to move.

Only 2% and this is the first raise in over 2 years. At least the bonus this year was up 70%.

There were 3 separate raises last year: Cost of living increase, anniversary date step increase, and job reclassification. I don't remember the value for each, but the difference between Jan 1 and Dec 31 was 9.66%.

+1

I also got a nice promotion mid last year 25% increase in salary and bonus. Now that I think about it, I had gotten a surprise increase early last year as well of just over 7% as well.

Don't worry, I'm sure the quarterly $25 performance incentives will make up for it...

Ask me that question at the end of the year. So far so good, the year's off to a good start. I'm doing more refinancing and debt consolidation than purchases.
As for this year, with the new mortgage rules kicking in brokers will be quite busy as heavily leveraged consumers look elsewhere for financing and affordable debt consolidation, especially once interest rates start to rise.
